Grade 3 & 4 Excursion to Werribee Zoo

We had a fantastic trip to the Werribee Zoo last Thursday 29th October. A highlight was certainly the safari bus tour that took us around the open plains areas to see animals such as bison, giraffes, zebras and rhinoceros. Children also attended an educational session where we were able to learn more about endangered animals and how we can play our part in looking after habitats to encourage animals to live there. We were able to see some animals up close and we were given 4 small plants called Kangaroo Grass to take away and plant at school (some grades have already done this in their gardening session this week.)
